العَمَلُ بِلا نِيَّةٍ كَرِحْلَةٍ بِلا بُوصَلَةٍ
Action without intention is like a journey without a compass;
تَمْشِي كَثِيرًا وَتَضِلُّ قَلِيلًا فِي كُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ
You walk a lot and lose your way a little in each step.
حِينَ تُصَفِّي القَصْدَ يَتَقَلَّصُ الضَّجِيجُ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ،
When you purify the intention, the noise around you diminishes.
وَيَصِيرُ الِاخْتِيَارُ أَسْهَلَ لِأَنَّكَ تَعْرِفُ أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَنْتَهِيَ
And choice becomes easier because you know where you want to end up.
النِّيَّةُ لا تُعْلَنُ لِلنَّاسِ بِقَدْرِ مَا تُدَرَّبُ فِي السِّرِّ؛
Intention is not declared to people as much as it is cultivated in secret.
كُلَّمَا رَاقَبْتَهَا فِي التَّفَاصِيلِ الصَّغِيرَةِ صَارَ أَثَرُهَا فِي القَرَارَاتِ الكَبِيرَةِ أَصْدَقَ
The more you observe it in small details, its impact on major decisions becomes more truthful.
وَمَعَ الزَّمَنِ تُحَوِّلُ الجُهْدَ مِنْ تَبَعْثُرٍ إِلَى خَطٍّ مُسْتَقِيمٍ،
Over time, you transform effort from dispersion to a straight line.
فَتَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ سُرْعَةِ الحَرَكَةِ وَصَوَابِ الِاتِّجَاهِ
Thus, you combine speed of movement with correctness of direction.
