It became clear that whoever denies his being a Messenger and Prophet has indeed defamed God, diminished Him, and attributed ignorance, inability, and folly to Him.
I said to him, 'This is not refuted by the oppressive kings whom God empowered on the earth for a period of time.'
Then He completely cut them off, nullified their traditions, erased their traces and tyranny, for they were not upon anything of what was mentioned.
They were neither supported nor aided, nor did signs appear by their hands, nor did the Lord, Exalted be He, affirm them by His acknowledgment, action, or speech.
Rather, their matter was the opposite of that of the Messenger’s, like Pharaoh, Nimrod, and their like.
Nor is this negated by those who falsely claimed prophethood, for their condition was the exact opposite of the Messenger's in every way.
Indeed, their condition is among the clearest evidence of the truthfulness of the Messenger, and it is among the wisdoms of God, the Exalted, to bring forth such people, to make known the condition of liars and the truthful.
And their emergence is among the clearest evidence of the truthfulness of the Messengers and the difference between them and them.
For through contrasts, things become evident, and the opposite enhances the goodness of its opposite; thus, knowing the evidence of falsehood and its doubts is a type of the evidence of truth and its proofs.
When he heard this, he said: 'God forbid! We do not say he is a tyrant king, but a noble prophet. Whoever follows him is among the blessed, and likewise, whoever follows Moses is like one who follows Muhammad.'
