Anas reported that the Prophet, may Allah send blessings and peace upon him, said
Allah will gather the believers on the Day of Resurrection.
Thus they will say.
If only we had sought intercession from our Lord.
Until He relieves us from this place.
Then they will come to Adam.
Then they will say, "O Adam."
Do you not see, people, that Allah created you by His hand?
And He caused His angels to prostrate to you.
And He taught you the names of all things,
Intercede for us with our Lord.
until he relieves us from this place
So he says, "I am not there—"
And he mentions to them his sin that befell—
But go to Noah.
So indeed he was the first messenger sent by Allah to the people of the earth.
So they come to Noah.
And he will say, 'I am not among you—'
And he mentions his sin that befell him—
But go to Abraham, the Friend of the Most Merciful.
So they come to Abraham.
So he says, "I am not among you."
And he will mention to them his sins that befell him.
But bring Moses, a servant.
Allah brought the Torah to him.
And He spoke to him directly.
Then they came to Moses.
Then he says, "I am not there among you."
And he will mention to them the sin he committed—
But bring Jesus, the servant of Allah.
and His Messenger, His Word, and His Spirit.
Then they will come to Jesus.
Then he will say, "I am not there with you."
But come to Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.
A servant for whom what preceded of his sin was forgiven.
And what remained.
Then they come to me, and I leave.
Then I ask my Lord for permission.
Then I am permitted to approach Him.
So when I see my Lord, I fall down prostrate before Him.
So He leaves me for as long as Allah wills to leave me.
Then it will be said to me, 'Rise, Muhammad.'
Say, and it will be heard; ask, and you will be given; intercede, and you will be granted intercession.
So I praise my Lord with praises He taught me.
Then I intercede, and He sets a limit for me.
Then I will admit them into Paradise.
Then I return, and when I see my Lord, I fall down in prostration.
And He will let me remain as long as Allah wills.
Then it is said: "Rise, Muhammad; say, it is heard; ask and you will be given; intercede and you will be granted intercession."
So I praise my Lord with the praises my Lord taught me.
Then I will intercede, a limit will be set for me, and I will admit them into Paradise.
Then I return, and when I see my Lord I fall prostrate.
Then He will leave me as Allah wills.
Then it will be said: Raise Muhammad. Say: He is heard. And ask, and you will be given. And intercede, and intercession will be granted.
So I praise my Lord with the praises He taught me.
Then I will intercede, a limit will be set for me, and I will admit them into Paradise.
Then I return and say, O Lord, who remains in the Fire?
Except for anyone whom the Qur'an detains and for whom eternal punishment becomes obligatory.
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
Whoever says "There is no god but God" will come out of the Fire.
And in his heart there was some good that weighed as much as a barley grain.
Then whoever says, "There is no god but Allah" will come out of the Fire.
And in his heart there was some good that weighed a barley grain.
Then whoever says, "There is no god but Allah" will come out of the Fire.
And in his heart there was some good that weighed a speck.
