Muslims unanimously agree on the necessity to venerate the Glorious Quran absolutely, and to revere and safeguard it.
And they unanimously agree that whoever denies any letter upon which there is consensus or adds a letter not recited by anyone, while being aware, is a disbeliever.
Imam Al-Hafiz Abu Al-Fadl Qadi Iyad, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
Know that whoever disparages the Quran or the Mushaf (written Quran) or any part of it, or insults them, or denies any of its letters, or lies about anything decisively stated in its rulings or news, or affirms what it negates, or negates what it affirms while being aware, or doubts any of this,
he is a disbeliever according to the consensus of Muslims.
Likewise, if one denies the Torah, the Gospel, or the revealed books of Allah, or disbelieves in them, or insults them, or disparages them, he is a disbeliever.
Note:
Muslims unanimously agree that the Quran, recited throughout the lands, written in the books that Muslims possess, compiled between two covers, from 'Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds' to 'Say, I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind,' is the Word of Allah and His revelation sent down to His Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
And all that is in it is true.
