How to say “Amir” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
زَعَمُوا أَنَّ عَامِرًا حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُ
They claimed that Amir's deeds were nullified.
عَامِرًا — Amir. The name sitting in the object-style ending forced by the 'that'-particle before it, even though in meaning it is the one whose deeds are discussed. This case shift is the signal that we are still inside the reported clause introduced by 'that'.
