So the Arab says from associating with them, 'Woe to me',
فَالْعَرَبِيُّ — So the Arab. The 'so/then' prefix opens a result or narrative-next clause, moving the discourse forward to its consequence, while the 'the' beneath it marks the noun as a specific known type. Together they launch the next scene, presenting the Arab as the subject about to speak.
