Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I raised” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَرَفَعْتُ يَدِي فَلَكَزْتُهَا
Then I raised my hand and jabbed her.
فَرَفَعْتُ — So I raised. The prefixed fa- restarts the action after the woman's speech, 'and so I raised', clamping this next deed onto the rebuke just heard. The verb is past tense with the -tu 'I' fused in. The connective marks the raising as the narrator's immediate, heated response.
