How to say “I will perish” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَهْلِكُ أَنَا
And I will perish.
وَأَهْلِكُ — and I will perish. Opens with a connector 'wa-' tying this self-judging line to the surrounding speech, joined to a present-tense verb that carries its first-person 'I' subject inside its own prefix. The 'wa-' here links his humble conclusion to what precedes. Present tense plus the built-in 'I' gives 'and I perish' without a separate pronoun.
