Arabic vocabulary
How to say “kin” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ وَأَمْوَالُ إِقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا وَتِجَارَةٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادُهَا
and your kin, and wealth you have acquired it, and trade whose stagnation you fear
وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ — and your kin. This bundles the linking wa- with a noun for kin and the tail -kum, 'your (plural)', as possessor. It adds another belonging to the running list, with ownership fused onto the noun, addressed to the same audience as the earlier items.
