How to say “nearness of” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتَنْسَى دُنُوَّ السَّقَمِ،
And you forget how near sickness is,
دُنُوٍّ — the nearness of. A noun naming the action of drawing near, indefinite here with the final buzz instead of 'the'. It heads a possessive pairing with the next word, so the two read 'the nearness of sickness'. As the verb's object it is what the person fails to keep in mind.
