How to say “on you” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَلَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أُؤَثِّرَ عَلَيْكِ،
So I do not like to favor you over others,
عَلَيْكِ — on you. A preposition 'on/over' with the second-person -ki ('you') attached, and the -ki specifically marks a female addressee, so the speaker is talking to a woman. After verbs of preferring, this 'over you' marks the person who would be put ahead of others. The feminine ending is the clue to who is being addressed.
