Arabic vocabulary
How to say “you honor” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتَقْرِي الضَّيْفَ،
And you host the guest,
وَتَقْرِي — and you host. The wa- adds another virtue to the list, and the verb carries its own subject; that subject is second-person 'you', not third-person, matching the praise addressed to him. It continues the habitual 'and you...' chain.
