Praise be to Allah, who created man from a weak and humble fluid and strengthened him.

And sifted the milk through the sieve of kindness and provided nourishment.

And opened his means for sustenance so he may gain strength.

By His craftsmanship, the intestines coiled and folded.

And in gratitude for His blessings, the worshipper prostrated and became humble.

He shapes you in the wombs, and neither Adam nor Eve knows.

And He sends down rain when He wills, bewildering the sailor and the orbits.

Ah, my eloquence scorched the livers of my enviers, yet the hide was not consumed.

He does not forget the provision for the fetus nor neglect the nourishment of the ants or the snakes coiled in the sand.

Reflect on your own limbs and consider the construction of your fingertips; it is enough as a lesson that your tongue speaks whenever it turns.

So if you recognize what He has blessed you with and tested you, and are certain of what He has granted and bestowed,

Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, who created and perfected.
