Devotion to the Quran

قالَ العُلَماءُ النَّصِيحَةُ لِكِتابِ اللهِ تَعالى هِيَ الإيمانُ بِأَنَّهُ كَلامُ اللهِ تَعالى وَتَنْزِيلُهُ

The scholars said that sincere devotion to the Book of Allah, the Exalted, is to believe that it is the word of Allah, the Exalted, and His revelation.

لا يشبهه شئ من كلام الخلق ولا يقدر على مثله الخلق بأسرهم

Nothing from the speech of creation resembles it, nor can the entire creation produce anything like it.

ثُمَّ تَعْظِيمُهُ وَتِلَاوَتِهِ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِ وَتَحْسِينِهَا وَالخُشُوعِ عِنْدَهَا

Then to honor it, recite it as it deserves to be recited, beautify its recitation, and be humble before it.

وَإِقَامَةِ حُرُوفِهِ فِي التِّلَاوَةِ

And articulate its letters during recitation.

وَالذَّبُّ عَنْهُ لِتَأْوِيلِ المُحَرِّفِينَ وَتَعَرُّضِ الطَّاغِينَ

And defend it from the misinterpretations of those who distort and the attacks of tyrants.

وَالتَّصْدِيقِ بِمَا فِيهِ وَالوُقُوفِ مَعَ أَحْكَامِهِ

And affirm what is in it and adhere to its rulings.

وَتَفَهُّمِ عُلُومِهِ وَأَمْثَالِهِ وَالِاعْتِنَاءِ بِمَوَاعِظِهِ

And understand its sciences and parables, and pay attention to its lessons.

وَالتَّفَكُّرِ فِي عَجَائِبِهِ وَالعَمَلِ بِمُحْكَمِهِ وَالتَّسْلِيمِ بِمُتَشَابِهِهِ

And contemplate its wonders, act on its clear commandments, and submit to its ambiguous ones.

وَالْبَحْثِ عَن عُمُومِهِ وَخُصُوصِهِ وَنَاسِخِهِ وَمَنْسُوخِهِ

And research its general and specific meanings, and its abrogating and abrogated verses.

وَنَشْرِ عُلُومِهِ وَالدُّعَاءِ إِلَيْهِ وَإِلَى مَا ذَكَرْنَاهُ مِن نَصِيحَتِهِ

And spread its knowledge, and call people towards it and towards what we mentioned of sincere devotion to it.
