Now then, God, Glorified be He, has made patience a steed that does not stumble.
And a keen blade that does not grow dull.
and an army that cannot be defeated.
And a secure fortress, neither demolished nor breached.
So he and victory are full brothers.
So victory is with patience, and relief is with distress, and hardship is with ease.
And he is more supportive of his companion than other men, without any limit and without any number.
And its place in victory is like the place of the head in the body.
And indeed the Faithful, the Truthful has guaranteed for His own, in the decisive Book, that He will grant them their reward without reckoning.
And inform him that He is with them by His guidance, and His mighty help, and His clear victory.
Then the Exalted said, "And be patient; indeed, Allah is with the patient."
Thus the patient ones prevailed by this companionship with the good of this world and the Hereafter.
And they attained it by an inward and an outward blessing.
And He, exalted be He, made leadership in religion dependent on patience and certainty.
He, the Exalted, said: By His word the rightly guided were guided, and We made from among them leaders who guide by Our command because they were patient.
And they were certain of Our signs.
And He informed that patience is best for His people, affirming it by oath.
And Allah, the Most High, said, "If you are patient, that is better for the patient ones."
And He informed that with patience and piety the plotting of the enemy does not harm, even if he were granted authority.
Allah, the Exalted, said: If you are patient and are conscious of God, their plotting will not harm you at all. Indeed, Allah encompasses what they do.
And He informed concerning His prophet Joseph, the Truthful, that his patience, piety, and prayer elevated him to a station of honor and firm authority.
He said: Indeed, whoever is conscious of God and is patient, Allah does not let the reward of the doers of good be lost.
The successful person ascribed it to patience and piety, and the believers understood that from him.
Allah, the Exalted, said: O you who have believed, be patient, persevere, keep watch at your posts, and fear Allah, so that you may succeed.
And He informed of His love for its people, and in that is the greatest encouragement for those who desire.
He, the Most High, said: And Allah loves those who are patient.
And indeed the patient ones were given glad tidings of three things, each of which is better than what the people of the world compete over.
And He, the Exalted, said, "And give glad tidings to the patient ones, those who, when a misfortune befalls them, say, 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.'"
Those, upon them are blessings from their Lord and mercy.
And those are the rightly guided.
And he advised his servants to seek help through patience and prayer when facing the calamities of the world and of religion.
And the Exalted said, Seek help through patience and prayer; indeed, it is a great burden except for the humble.
And He has made attaining Paradise and being saved from the Fire attainable only by those who are patient.
And the Exalted said: Indeed I have rewarded them on the Day of Judgment for what they patiently endured; they are the successful.
