Indeed, there was a sign for Sheba in their dwellings.
He said, their gardens never failed them, neither in winter nor in summer.
So they denied what God had bestowed upon them.
So He sent upon them the devastating torrent Aram.
So He sent it upon the embankment they had built, preventing them from drinking.
A mouse that had claws and fangs of iron.
So the first who knew of that was Abd Allah ibn Amir al-Azdi.
Then he set off toward the embankment.
Then he saw the rat digging with iron claws.
And he gnaws with fangs of iron.
He then returned to his family.
Then he informed his wife and showed her that.
And he sent to his little son.
He said, "Do you see what we saw?"
They said, "Yes."
He said, "And indeed, there is no way for us to it in this matter."
The stratagems against him faded away.
Because the matter belongs to God, and He has permitted his destruction.
So a female cat came, and the rat was digging and did not pay attention to the cat.
When the cat saw that, she ran away.
Abdullah said, "Be cunning for yourselves."
They said, "O father, how shall we devise a plan?"
He said, "Indeed I am scheming for you with a ruse."
He said, then he called his youngest son.
Then he said to him, 'If you sit in the council today.'
And people would gather around him and defer to his opinion.
When they gather, I have commanded your youngest concerning a matter, so let him be unaware of it.
So if you insult him, let him hurry toward me and strike me.
And do not turn against him.
So when the companions saw that you did not stand up for your brother.
None of them dared to turn against him.
So I swear by that an oath that has no expiation for it.
If I am not among the foremost of a people.
He went up to the youngest of his sons and struck me.
So they did not change toward him; therefore they said, "We will do."
So when the people went to him.
He ordered his son to attend to some of his affairs, and the son became absorbed in them.
Then he ordered him, but he became distracted from it.
The son insulted his father, so the father stood up to him and struck his face.
They were astonished at his son's audacity, so they bowed their heads.
And they thought that his son would change their minds about him.
When none of them changed, the sheikh stood up.
So he swore that he would turn away from them and that they would be replaced in his household.
So he would not remain among the most prominent of the people.
They did not turn against his son.
So the people stood up, apologizing, and said.
Either we had thought that your children would not change.
So that is what prevented us.
He said, "What you see has already happened to me."
And there is no way except to transfer.
So he offered his possessions for sale, and people were competing for them.
And he bore it, with its weight and his dependents, then he turned away from them.
So the people had not remained except a little until the rat came onto the mound.
So he uprooted it.
So the people were not surprised that night, after the springs had settled.
When they were with the flood, it had already come.
So it carried off their livestock and their possessions.
And their homes were ruined.
