Arabic vocabulary
How to say “amusing” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَدْ ذَكَرُوا عَنْهُ قِصَصًا طَرِيفَةً،
They also related amusing stories about him.
طَرِيفَةً — amusing. A singular feminine adjective, 'amusing', modifying the plural 'stories' — Arabic regularly describes a non-human plural with a feminine-singular adjective. So the singular shape is grammatically correct agreement, not a mismatch, and English just renders it plain.
