How to say “angel” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَجَاءَهُ الْمَلَكُ فَقَالَ اقْرَأْ
Then the angel came to him and said, "Read."
الْمَلَكُ — the angel. This noun carries the 'the' marker, making it the specific, known angel, and its final 'u' vowel marks it as the subject, the one who did the coming. It is the doer arriving after its verb in the usual Arabic order.
