How to say “be wasted” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لِئَلا يَضِيعَ شَيْءٌ مِنْ وَقْتِيِ
So that none of my time is wasted.
يَضِيعَ — be wasted. A present-tense verb pushed into the subjunctive by the purpose particle just before it; the altered ending is the visible mark of that mood. The subjunctive shows this loss is the outcome being guarded against, not one already happening. Its subject, 'anything', follows.
