Arabic vocabulary
How to say “became settled” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
القاصم أعناق الجبابرة فقد بت مرتبك،
The one who breaks the necks of tyrants, and your situation has become confused.
بَتُّ — I became. A past-tense verb with a built-in 'I' subject, so the speaker reports a completed change in his own state. The first-person ending means no separate 'I' is needed; the verb itself carries the speaker as its doer.
