How to say “bent over” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَتَى الْعَبَّاسُ فَأَكَبَّ عَلَيْهِ
Al‑Abbas came and bent over him.
فَأَكَبَّ — bent over. Here the fa- means 'and then, in response' — it links bending-over as the next move after arriving. The verb is past with 'he' inside; the prefix supplies the sense of immediate sequence rather than mere addition.
