Arabic vocabulary
How to say “came suddenly” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَجَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ
Then Abraham came.
فجَاء — then came. This is a past-tense verb of coming with the 'then/so' connector (fa-) fused to its front. The fa- marks sequence, 'and then he came', linking this event to what preceded in narrative order. So one word carries the connector and the past action together.
