Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah described this phase with a description that reveals its nature, characteristics, and advantages and disadvantages,
وَصْفًا — with a description. 'a describing', accusative — a cognate (absolute) object echoing the verb 'described' to intensify it ('described... a description that...'); it heads a describing clause.

As for the 'contented life,' describing it this way is better than describing it as 'a life one is pleased with.'
فَالْوَصْفُ — describing it. fa- (then) on a verbal noun made definite by al-, 'the describing', which is the delayed answer to the earlier 'as for'. The fa- ties the comment back to the fronted topic; this verbal noun names the act of describing as the subject of what follows.
