How to say “Do I not” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَلَسْت أرى الْأَعْضَاء مِنْك كواسيا
Do I not see your limbs still well-clothed?
أَلَسْتَ — Are you not. The question-marker 'a-' fused to the present-negation verb 'is not' — opening an incredulous, rhetorical 'is it not [so]…?'. It sets up the question about the lover's still-comfortable limbs.
