How to say “doubts” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَلْيَنْظُرْ الشُّبُهَاتَ وَالشَّهَوَاتَ
And let him look at the doubts and the desires.
الشُّبُهَاتَ — the doubts. A feminine plural noun ('the doubts') that is the object of the looking, and so takes the accusative ending. The al- marks it as the definite, known category of misleading uncertainties. It is paired with 'the desires' as the two things to watch for.
