  فَيَسْتَجِرُّهُمْ — so he drags them along. The prefix fa- marks a consequence, 'and so', flowing from the prior point; the verb it rides is present-tense and carries an attached object '-them' at its end. So one word holds 'so he drags' plus its object. It moves the narrative to the result of the devil's grip.
