Arabic vocabulary
How to say “feel alienated” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لَو صحّت محبتك لاستوحشت مِمَّن لَا يذكرك بالحبيب
If your love were true, you would feel alienated from those who do not remind you of the beloved.
لَاسْتَوْحَشْتَ — then you would have felt alienated. The 'la-' answering the 'law' counterfactual, prefixed to a past-tense (form X) verb 'grew lonely / shrank away' with the '-ta' (you) ending — 'you would have felt estranged'. The 'la-' marks the apodosis.
