Arabic vocabulary
How to say “get ready” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
تَأَهَّبْ لِلسَّفَرِ
Get ready to travel.
تَأَهُّبٌ — get ready. A command verb addressed straight to 'you', telling one person to prepare himself. Arabic builds this order by stripping the present-tense prefix off the verb, so a bare stem like this signals an instruction rather than a statement. No separate 'you' is written; the command form already aims at the listener.
