Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I spread” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَبَسَطْتُ فِيْهِ فَرْوَةً،
And I spread in it a fur.
وَبَسَطْتُ — and I spread. The leading 'wa-' (and) links this clause to the narrative, fused onto a past verb whose '-tu' ending means 'I'. So the chunk both joins and reports the spreading. The first-person singular subject rides inside that ending.
