Arabic vocabulary
How to say “in the mosque of” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ ثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ بِمَسْجِدِ الشِّيرَازِيِّ
He said, "Three people in the mosque of the Shirazi."
بِمَسْجِد — in the mosque of. The preposition 'in' fused to a noun heading a possessive pairing, 'in the mosque of', with the 'bi-' forcing it into the genitive. It places the three persons and links the mosque to the name that follows. So one piece carries the locative and opens an 'of' chain.
