Arabic vocabulary
سَبُّوهُ is how you say “insulted him” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
وَأَنْزَلُوهُ وَسَبُّوهُ،
and they brought him down and insulted him.
وَسَبُّوهُ — and insulted him. The same listing wa- as the word before, tacking on yet another act by the crowd -- and they insulted him -- again plural 'they' with '-hu' (him). The doubled middle marks the intensive 'revile' pattern; the wa- keeps the run of abuses going.
