How to say “it upset me” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَسَاءَنِي ذَلِكَ فَقُلْتُ
That upset me, so I said.
فَسَاءَنِي — so it upset me. This opens with the connector 'so', then a past verb 'upset/grieved' that carries 'me' attached as object, so 'so it upset me'. The subject is the thing referred to next. The 'so' marks this as the consequence of what came before.
