Arabic vocabulary
How to say “like him” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَلَّ عَرَبِيٌّ نَشَأَ بِهَا مِثْلَهُ
Few Arabs who grew up in it were like him.
مِثْلَهُ — like him. A noun meaning 'like/equal of' carrying an attached 'him', so 'like him' is one word. It sets up a comparison and takes its standard for that comparison from the suffix, marking the rare Arab as matching that person.
