Arabic vocabulary
How to say “public declarations” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَسَرَائِرُهُمْ كَعَلَانِيَّتِهِمْ؛
And their innermost thoughts are like their public declarations.
كَعَلَانِيَّتِهِمْ — like their public declarations. Again the ka- prefix of resemblance ('like') opens this word and governs the noun it carries, which also holds -hum ('their'). The ka- builds the comparison directly into the word, so it names the standard, their open conduct, that the hidden secrets are said to equal.
