Arabic vocabulary
How to say “repelled” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالنَّار تنْدَفع
And the fire is repelled.
تَنْدَفِعُ — is repelled. A present-tense reflexive-shape (form VII) verb 'is pushed back / driven off', subject 'it' (the Fire) inside, the predicate. The form gives the passive-like 'gets repelled' — Hell is warded off by those same fulfilled duties.
