How to say “roaming animal” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيُحَرِّمُونَ السَّائِبَةَ وَالْبُحَيْرَةَ وَالْوَصِيلَةَ وَالْحَامَ
And they forbade the roaming animal, the animal marked for pregnancy, the animal tied to others, and the animal declared taboo.
السَّائِبَةَ — the roaming animal. A definite noun in the accusative shape, the first item in the list of things forbidden, so a direct object. The accusative ending marks it as acted upon; it names a customary pre-Islamic category of animal.
