مَا سَأَلْتُهُ إِلَّا لِيُشْبِعَنِي،
I asked him only so that he would satisfy me.
لِيُشْبِعَنِي — so that he would satisfy me. Opens with the purpose marker 'so that / in order to', which switches the following verb to its subjunctive shape, and ends with 'me' attached. One word covers 'so that he would satisfy me'. The purpose marker is the trigger reshaping the verb's ending.
