How to say “some of them” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَنْشَدَ بَعْضُهُمْ
And some of them recited:
بَعْضُهُمْ — some of them. This noun is the delayed subject of 'recited', so it sits in the nominative as the doer; it carries an attached '-them' at its end, building 'some of them'. The suffix points back to a group mentioned earlier. So one word names the partial subject and tracks whom it is part of.
