Arabic vocabulary
How to say “stumbling” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَوْ إِلَى التَّعَثُّرِ وَالضَّلَالَةِ ؟
Or to stumbling and going astray?
التَّعَثُّرِ — stumbling. This is a verbal noun, the name of an action treated as a thing, carrying 'al-' (the) and the 'of...' (genitive) ending forced by the preposition before it. Arabic often packages an action this way, as 'the stumbling', where English might prefer a verb, letting the whole event sit as the object of a preposition.
