Arabic vocabulary
How to say “take it” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ تَأْخُذُهَا فَتَقَسَّمُهَا
He said, "Take it and divide it."
تَأْخُذُهَا — take it. A present-tense verb whose 'ta-' prefix marks a second-person 'you' subject built into the word itself, with the suffix '-ha' as its object. Although the form looks like an ordinary statement ('you take'), here it carries the force of a directive, so the listener reads it as an instruction rather than a description.
