Arabic vocabulary
How to say “their garments” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَدْ بَدَتْ خَلاَخِلُهُنَّ وَأَسْوَاقُهُنَّ رَافِعَاتٍ ثِيَابَهُنَّ،
Indeed, their anklets were plainly visible, and their sashes were raised, lifting their garments,
ثِيَابَهُنَّ — their garments. A noun 'garments' with the feminine-plural '-hunna' owner tail attached, 'their garments', standing as the thing being lifted, so it takes the object ending of the participle's action. The attached possessor names whose clothes they are.
