How to say “they are” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَهُمْ كَالْسُّنْبُلَةِ تَمِيلُهَا الرِّيَاحُ
They are like an ear of grain that the winds bend.
فَهْمٌّ — and they are. This fuses the connector 'so/then' onto a standalone 'they' pronoun, resuming the description. The pronoun is the subject of a verbless simile: 'so they are like...'.
