Arabic vocabulary
How to say “they received her” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتَلَقَّوُهَا مِنْ بَعِيدٍ،
And they received her from afar,
وَتَلَقَّوُهَا — and they received her. The wa- opens the clause with 'and'. The verb is past tense with the -u 'they' ending and the object -ha ('her') attached, so subject, verb and object sit in one word. The 'her' again points to the personified revelation being received.
