Arabic vocabulary
How to say “they rushed” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَضَرَبُوهُ وَثَارُوا إِلَيْهِ،
So they struck him and rushed at him.
وَثَارُوا — and they rushed. The leading wa- coordinates this onto the striking as a second simultaneous act ('and'). The verb is plural past with 'they' carried in its -u ending, so the surge is presented as the same crowd's continued action.
