How to say “to beware” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَرَأَيْتُ أَنْ أَحْذَرَ مِنْ مَكَائِدِهِ
So I decided to beware of his schemes.
أَحْذَرَ — to beware. A present-tense verb pushed into its subjunctive shape by the 'to' particle before it. That changed ending marks the bewaring as an intended aim, not something already happening, the hallmark of this construction.
