How to say “to touch” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وعلم البواطن وما لمس ولا جس،
And knows the innermost thoughts without touching or feeling.
لَمَسَ — he touched. A past-tense verb with 'He' built in, read under the negator, so 'He did not touch'. The denial underlines that His knowledge of inner things needs no physical contact.
