Arabic vocabulary
سِرْنَا is how you say “we traveled” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
فَسِرْنَا لَيْلًا،
So we traveled at night,
فَسِرْنَا — so we traveled. The opening fa- ties this travelling to the setting-out just described as its immediate sequel, presenting the night march as what followed. The rest is a finished-action verb with -na fixing the doers as 'we', so the connector and the built-in plural subject ride together.
