How to say “you will rest” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَاغْضُضْ الطَرْفَ تَسْتَرِحْ
Lower your gaze and you will rest.
تَسْتَرِحْ — you will rest. A present-shaped verb in the clipped form, aimed at 'you', that works as the reward half of a command-and-result, 'and you will rest'. After an order, this clipped shape signals the promised outcome: lower your gaze, and rest follows. So it ties the consequence to the command.
