عَنْ عَائِشَةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
From Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah send blessings upon him and grant him peace.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَاتَ
That the Messenger of Allah, may Allah send blessings upon him and grant him peace, died.
وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بِالْسُّنْحِ
And Abu Bakr was at al-Sunh.
قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي بِالْعَالِيَةِ
Isma'il said, meaning al-Aaliyah.
فَقَامَ عُمَرُ يَقُولُ
Then Umar stood up and said.
وَاللَّهِ مَا مَاتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
By God, the Messenger of God did not die; may God bless him and grant him peace.
قَالَتْ وَقَالَ عُمَرُ
She said, and Umar said.
وَاللَّهِ مَا كَانَ يَقَعُ فِي نَفْسِي إِلَّا ذَاكَ
By God, nothing occurred in my mind except that.
وَلَيَبْعَثْنَّهُ اللَّهُ
And Allah will surely raise him.
