إيّاكَ أن تَشتغِلَ بِهذَا الجَدَلِ الذي ظَهَرَ بَعدَ انقِراضِ الأَكابِرِ من العُلَماءِ يَشِيرُ إلى جَدَلِ العُمَيْدي فَإنَّهُ يُبْعِدُ عن الفِقهِ ويُضَيِّعُ العُمرَ ويُورِثُ الوَحْشَةَ والعداوةَ
Beware of getting involved in this debate that emerged after the passing of the great scholars (referring to the debate of Al-Amidi), for it distances you from understanding the law, wastes your life, and breeds loneliness and enmity.
وَهُوَ مِن أَشْراطِ السَّاعَةِ
It is one of the signs of the Hour.
كَذَا وَرَدَ فِي الحَدِيثِ
Such has been mentioned in the Hadith.
وَلِلَّهِ دَرُّ القَائِلِ
By Allah, how excellent is the one who said:
أَرَى فُقَهَاءَ هَذَا العَصْرِ طُرًّا أَضَاعُوا العِلْمَ وَاشْتَغَلُوا بِلِمْ لِمْ
I see all the jurists of this era have neglected knowledge and are busy with 'why, why.'
إِذَا نَاظَرْتَهُمْ لَمْ تَلْقَ مِنْهُمْ سِوَى حَرْفَيْنِ لِمْ لِمْ لا نُسَلِّمْ
When you debate them, you find nothing from them but the two words, 'why, why, we do not concede.'
